NS Moms is a peer-led initiative created by mothers with lived experience of supporting adult children with serious mental illness. The purpose of this site is to share experiences and provide practical communication tools that may assist families in conveying relevant information to clinicians.

NSMoms Toolkit is intended to help caregivers of loved ones with severe mental illness communicate clearly and effectively with clinicians caring for their loved ones and to help clinicians understand how best to communicate with caregivers of loved ones in their care.

Every situation involving mental illness, healthcare, and family communication is unique. Users remain fully responsible for how they choose to use the materials on this site and for any decisions or actions taken as a result.
