“They told me I couldn’t speak to them because my son was an adult and had to call for help himself. It was the law,” Nancy said.

In response, in 2024 Nancy constituted the NSMoms advocacy group and together the group has changed “the law” in Nova Scotia. NSMoms continuing commitment to compassion, understanding, and meaningful change strengthens our community and advances hope for families everywhere.
